The program will be delivered under the Nurture Two Degree Program model, enabling students to graduate with two internationally recognised qualifications: the Master in Management from the University of Victoria and an MBA from Siam University

The agreement represents a significant milestone in international education, with the University of Victoria becoming the first Canadian university to deliver a full transnational education (TNE) degree program in Thailand

Senior leaders from the three partners attended the signing ceremony to mark the formalisation of the partnership, including:

  • Dr Elizabeth Croft, Vice-President Academic and Provost, University of Victoria

Under the partnership, students will study in Bangkok through an integrated curriculum designed to meet the academic requirements of both institutions. The initiative builds on the extensive transnational education expertise of Nurture Higher Education Group. Over many years, Nurture has developed and delivered large-scale TNE programs across Thailand and Indonesia, working with universities and local partners to create innovative multi-degree and cross-border learning models that expand access to international education in Asia.

Dr Pornchai Mongkhanvanit, President of Siam University, welcomed the collaboration as an important step for Thailand’s higher education sector.

The program will be delivered in centrally located teaching facilities in Bangkok, enabling strong engagement with corporate partners, entrepreneurs and industry leaders across Thailand and the wider ASEAN region.

The first cohort of students is expected to commence in September 2026, marking the beginning of a new phase of Canada–Thailand higher education collaboration.

UWA, Nurture Higher Education and Siam University Sign Landmark MOU to Strengthen Education opportunities in Thailand

Bangkok – September 5th, 2025

The University of Western Australia (UWA), Nurture Higher Education and Siam University have signed a landmark tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will provide students at the Global Academy at Siam University with new opportunities to transfer into undergraduate courses at UWA.

This agreement marks a significant step forward in expanding educational access for students in Southeast Asia, while laying the foundation for future transnational education (TNE) delivery in Thailand.

At the heart of the collaboration is the Global Academy at Siam University, a dynamic academic hub that integrates international partnerships and innovative learning models. Through this MOU, Global Academy students will benefit from a structured pathway to continue their studies at UWA, gaining access to world-class teaching, research and campus life in Perth.

The partnership is underpinned by Nurture Higher Education’s pioneering Two Degree model, which enables students to earn both a local degree and an international qualification, without leaving their home country until they are ready. Widely recognised as the future of TNE in Southeast Asia, this model provides ambitious students with global opportunities while ensuring affordability and accessibility. By supporting Australian universities to engage with Southeast Asia in a sustainable and impactful way, Nurture is helping to redefine international education partnerships across the region.

Speaking at the signing, representatives from all three institutions highlighted the transformative potential of the partnership.

“This agreement reflects UWA’s commitment to building meaningful academic partnerships that expand opportunities for students across the region,” David Connell, Associate Director, Global Engagement said. “Together with Nurture and Siam University, we are opening new doors for Thai students to engage with Australian higher education and contribute to future global leadership.”

The initiative aligns with Thailand’s growing demand for internationally recognised education and the region’s focus on equipping graduates with the skills and networks needed to thrive in a globalised workforce.

By combining UWA’s academic excellence, Nurture’s innovative TNE model, and Siam University’s vision for international engagement, this MOU sets the stage for long-term collaboration, student mobility and joint program development.

The Global Academy at Siam University will serve as the launchpad for this cooperation, ensuring students have direct access to high-quality programs, industry engagement, and pathways into UWA’s world-ranked degrees.

Bangkok, Thailand – September 9th, 2025 – Nurture Higher Education (Nurture HE) and St Louis College (SLC) have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding to jointly develop innovative health and medical Two Degree programs for both international and domestic students.

This partnership marks a major step forward in expanding access to high-quality, globally recognised healthcare education in Thailand and across Southeast Asia. The collaboration aims to address the growing regional demand for skilled healthcare professionals, combining academic excellence with international learning outcomes and practical experience. The programs will be designed to meet global accreditation standards and integrate industry engagement, clinical placements, and international exposure, ensuring graduates are ready to contribute to healthcare systems both locally and globally.

“St Louis College is a respected institution with a long history of producing exceptional healthcare graduates,” said Stephen Healy, Founder and President of Nurture Higher Education. “Together, we’re creating pathways that open global opportunities for students in Thailand, while strengthening the region’s healthcare workforce.”

The Untapped Demand for International Higher Education

The Untapped Demand for International Higher Education

Every year, millions of students dream of earning a world-class university education abroad. They aspire to gain global exposure, access better career opportunities, and build networks that stretch across continents. Yet for the vast majority, that dream remains out of reach.

Today, just over 6 million students globally are studying outside their home country (UNESCO, 2022). That’s less than 3% of all higher education students worldwide. But new data shows the true demand for international education is far greater.

According to the QS International Student Survey 2022, as many as 80% of prospective students express interest in studying abroad. Meanwhile, HolonIQ projects that global higher education enrollment will nearly double to 470 million students by 2035. If even a conservative 20% of those students aspire to international study, it suggests that over 100 million students will seek an international education experience — far beyond the capacity of existing systems.

The barriers are clear: affordability, visa restrictions, and limited places at top universities. But the ambition remains strong. As emerging economies grow and technology makes the world more connected, the desire for global education opportunities will only accelerate.

At Nurture Higher Education, we believe it’s time to rethink how international education is delivered. By building innovative, accessible programs in partnership with world-leading universities and forward-thinking employers, we aim to unlock opportunities for the millions who have been left out.

The global higher education system is standing at a crossroads. Meeting the needs of the next generation won’t just mean expanding campuses — it will require reimagining the entire model.
